New to WGT?

By: CBremodel66

When you first begin playing WGT there are a lot of questions that you will have and although most of my articles will help you will find that clubs and balls make a major improvement in your game.  CBremodel66 in fact learned this the hard way.  If you are a Facebook user STOP right now.  Go to WGT Login Register a new account.  You will find that playing WGT on Facebook you will miss out on a lot of features that regular WGT members have.  If you have purchased equipment on Facebook, you will suffer a small loss.  You only get 25% of the cost of everything that you purchased when you sell it back to WGT, but after you do that with the credits you can send your new WGT player balls or clubs as a gift.

Starting as a new player on WGT I want to share with you the fact that they try to grab every single cent from you that they can.  Even though your game may suffer a little at first stick with the free equipment that they give you.  You will find that you will progress to level 30 pretty quick.  This also gives you an opportunity to learn the courses and the basics of playing the game.  The standard free clubs are not to bad, however, you do need to add more yardage to your shots.  When I have some free time I’ll equip myself with the starter clubs and update this post with some basic formulas for you to use.

When leveling up stop using EZ Swing clubs right away.  Switch the standard free clubs in your inventory.  Trust me when I say that the meter is quick, but learning to hit the meter is the key to having great shots on WGT.  We will update those clubs and balls for you soon and you will notice such a change in everything from distance to slower meter speed.   Another big thing to remember is that you DO NOT need a hybrid club.  You will find that a 3 wood punch will do better than a hybrid, and in the real tall weeds you may go with 3 or 4 iron punch shot.

Drivers

All these drivers play well and it’s a tough decision.  All of them will keep you in the game until you become a Legend.

Special note:  The R11 Irons are suggested bellow, if you decide to go with the R11 Driver and 3 Wood purchase it as a set for $34.95 which saves you a little over $3.00

CBremodel66 is a legend at level 90 and still uses this putter.  This club selection could very well take you through the entire game. When you turn Legend the longer Tee shots will require upgrading your driver.  This is just my opinion after buying, using and selling at a loss many clubs. I hope this helps.
